A Short Bio

Rosalie More writes historical western novels and designs her own cover art. In fact, she designs covers for other authors, as well. One of her book covers won the Spectrum 2000 Award in a contest sponsored by the Electronically Published Internet Connection [EPIC].

In 1998, Rosalie's historical novel ALLEGIANCE made her a Golden Heart finalist in a writing contest sponsored by the Romance Writers of America [RWA]. The following year, the novel was published in softcover and electronic book by The Fiction Works and nominated for the EPIC 2000 Award for best historical novel.

The print rights to Allegiance was later picked up by Publish America and reprinted in trade paperback, while Whiskey Creek Press reprinted it as an eBook.  Whiskey Creek also released Rosalie's western suspense novel, HONOR AMONG THIEVES.

Rosalie is a founding member of Rogue Writers Ink located in the Rogue Valley in southern Oregon. For seven years, she served as newsletter editor for that organization and has filled various board positions since then.

Rosalie grew up reading and cherishing books by Zane Grey, and was thrilled when she had a chance to meet his son, Romer Grey. When he discovered that she wrote westerns, he asked to read them. He was so impressed that he offered to help her market them as her agent. Unfortunately, his health failed and he died before being able to fulfill his promise. The memory of his support and encouragement stayed with her, however, and she never gave up her dream of publishing her stories and sharing them with others. She continues to write about independent women and courageous men of the old West. Today she wonders what Zane Grey and his son Romer would think about the high-tech world of electronic publishing and print-on-demand books.
